How do you format a WD CAVIAR GREEN 1TB DRIVE ?

If you intend to install Windows on it, just boot from your Windows disc and you can use it to create a partition and format it, Windows will do that before installation starts.

If it's a second hard drive for storage, install it then start Windows, go into Control Panel > Admin Tools > Computer Management > Disk Management.

Right-click the appropriate volume and choose "Create Partition".
When done, right-click it again and choose "Format".
