I just picked up a HP Pavilion P6330F off newegg
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Its for my mother. She does a significant amount of photo editing and animated presentations. I was wondering if I should upgrade the video capabilities by adding a video card and if so what one. I also wonder if I would need to upgrade the power supply to do so. I'm guessing I only want to spend $150 max to upgrade over the integrated graphics. I found these two possibilities on newegg

EVGA 01G-P3-1235-LR GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card at $55
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

ASUS ENGT240/DI/1GD3/A GeForce GT 240 1GB 128-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card at $82
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Any suggestions?
Thanks for your help...

The specs doesn't mention about PSU, can you just open the case and see it for yourself?
What brand? model?

Since your mother only doing photo editing and animated presentation, then any card will just fine, pick up whichever you want, from your option, i would choose the cheapest one... :)

Thanks for your advice - I saw somewhere that the PSU is 300W (sounds small). I don't have the pc yet so I can't open t up.

Since GT 240 doesn't required any 6pin power connector from PSU then it will work fine with 300W PSU... :)
