I am going to run an i5 2500k which board do you like better?

Since I've been eyeballing a few PCIe SSD {OCZ Z-Drives/1.4GB/s} and it's speeds > SATA3 so you would need an open x4; otherwise RAID 0 w/fast SSD you'll need RAID availability on SATA3. The P8P67 PRO 'seems' to allow the Intel SATA3 RAID 0/1, but I'd prefer the option at least to compare the Marvell SATA3 RAID 0 which rules-out the P8P67 PRO, and makes the P8P67 DELUXE more appealing.

However, if RAID 0 SSD or PCIe SSD doesn't pertain then the P8P67 PRO.

99% of the Routers will NOT support the use of a Dual LAN, but the Bluetooth is cool for e.g. syncing some BT Phones, cameras, or other peripherals.

A forum friend and I discussed the P8P67 DELUXE as the 'best option' for both SATA + SSD, USB3 Front Panel and overall versatility. Most folks will find the P8P67 PRO a perfect fit and a better cost option. It 100% depends on what you need and what you 'think' you may need in the future.

Good Luck! :)

Which sites had the Asrock p67 extreme 4 in stock? I don't even see it listed on newegg or tigerdirect. All my hardware will be in today for my new build, but they're useless without a mobo. :(

I have $200 budgeted for a mobo. Would you suggest ASUS p8p67 pro or the Asrock p67 extreme 4?

(sorry if I hijacked this thread)

I know for sure that eventually I want to add an SSD, so going with the deluxe is a better option?

Thanks for your thoughts, by the way!

A forum friend {Tecmo34} and I had a private discussion re: ASUS P8P67 DELUXE; he & I use SSD(s) in RAID and in his case he'll be running tests for Tom's Forums so the options needed to be open: PCIe SSD, Intel SSD, and Marvell SSD. The ASUS P8P67 DELUXE adds Bluetooth, USB 3 front panel, better MOBO chipset cooling, etc. Plus he has SLI GTX 560 Ti.

So in that example the choice was very clear, most will be fine with the P8P67 PRO or perhaps the Sabertooth P67. The ASRock P67 Extreme4 and ASUS P8P67 PRO are essentially the same MOBO; ASUS owns ASRock.

eek 2-3 weeks? I have got all my stuff in as I was able to find my CPU cheap at MC but by that time if I have any DOA's or defects I will be past or very close to the return date on quite a few items.

In the same boat as you-- because of the MC low CPU price. Its a scary world :)

Did the same thing MC deal on CPU...I got luck though a few days back they listed the Gigabyte ud4 on Friday online and I held it went to pick it up Saturday...on a whim I asked if they had any other P67 mobo's and he said we just got 2 Asus Pro's in....SWEET!! Cancelled the gigabyte and got the Pro I wanted.

Building comp today.

So you may want to call them pretty regularly as they sometimes have stuff still in the back before its on the shelf/online. This was at the Tustin, CA location.
