Inspiron 6000 wireless n

I am thinking about upgrading my laptop to wireless N. I have a Dell Inspiron 6000. I would like to get an internal Wireless N card. I have found Several on ebay but I'm not sure if they will work. Has someone done this before?
Here is an example of what I'm looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/TP-LINK-TL-WN861N-300M-Wireless-N-MINI-PCI-adapter-/320540628095?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aa1b5d47f

Will this work in my system?

  1. I'd speak to Dell before spending the money. Laptop makers have a nasty habit of slugging the BIOS to stop you adding 3rd party internals (even if they are functionally identical).

Simpler option is to go for an external device -- USB or PCMCIA
