6+2pin ok for just 6 pin

I am just wondering if I will have any problems using a 6+2pin for just a 6pin slot on a vid card??

Nope, thats the whole point of a 6+2 connector, if you dont connect the other two it is identical to a 6 pin connector.

In fact, I don't know why anyone bothered with the 6+2 connector. If you look, the extra two wires are ground wires that carry no extra current.
