No video/ no screen view

I am new to the computer world. But I am starting off by working on some older windows 98 computers. Some of them I dont get any display on my monitor when i plug them up. I can hear the cpu booting up just no display. Where do i start to resolve this issue.

Did you check to see if you have a video card? thats my guess....

oh, I figured it out. You hae to have a 9-pin or 4-pin connector going from the powersupply to the processor. there is a little place for it.
