I need to brag to someone my friends and girlfriend just say "ohh umm its nice I guess" :(
June 20, 2010 3:07:26 AM

Hahaha I hate that!
June 20, 2010 3:22:35 AM

Very nice clean looking rig, Hope you get alot of use out of that puppy :)  Damn i really need to clean up my wires lol
June 20, 2010 4:30:55 AM

I've always liked that case since they first launched it. Also, that is some ace wire management - very nice build.

I love that its silent my other rig (qx9650 S2E Antec 1200) sounds like a damn data center
June 20, 2010 7:30:54 AM

Can you post some temps? Iv'e always wondered how a tripple radiator would fair with components like that.

Are'nt you going to watercool you'r chipset or ram? The dominator waterblock only costs like 30dollars
June 20, 2010 8:37:02 AM

After running Linx for 20 runs max temp was 62 The Video Cards never go over 55. I thought about it but everything is so cool it seems like I would be messing with a winning setup. I may get the Fan setup for Corsair but I doubt I'll add any additional water cooling stuff. As an FYI the 120.3 is dedicated ot the Video and Single is for the CPU
June 20, 2010 8:37:41 AM

PS The chipsets never seem to go over 55-60
June 20, 2010 8:58:38 AM

Yeah I suppose the chipset already has adequate cooling. And maybe it is better not to mess around to much with your setup or maybe not lol.

Were you're components stressed when you got those temps? Because if they were that's a really nice setup. Especially it's internal. Just one more question. What rpm fans do you have? and how much did it cost?(not including the waterblocks) I'm considering going watercooled myself thats why I'm so intrested :D .
June 20, 2010 10:31:50 AM

Kudos, on a nice system well built, u definatly have the right to brag!
June 20, 2010 11:02:34 AM

I find the mobo choice kind a weird though. I would have taken an ud7, ud9 or classified 4-way.
June 20, 2010 11:11:26 AM

Semantics, you are looking flagship Motherboard with Asus / Gigabyte or EVGA, nothing in them really.
June 20, 2010 12:10:29 PM

nice , very nice , how much did it overclock?
June 20, 2010 4:59:51 PM

This is with a pretty high Video OC COU is only at 4.0 in this one.

My 24x7 High OC is 4.4 but of course higher temps I stick with 4.0 most times. Trade off for me between very low temps and at 4.4 they hit 75 or so

somebody_007 the Fans are 1600 RMP Koolmasters When you say how much did it cost I assume your saying the PC? If so basic PC is about 6k or so As fasr as the Clasified/ud9 vs this board I prefer the Asus however i was thinking about the EVGA alot
June 20, 2010 5:53:08 PM

Neh I actually meant how much the watercooling system costs as in the radiator, pump, reservoir, tubing and fans(no waterblocks since I'd use different ones in my system anyways). It's around 200-300 Am I right?
June 20, 2010 6:00:54 PM

ohh yes about 300
June 21, 2010 12:45:13 AM

I'm so tempted to go get the Corsair DDR3 2000's for tighter timings ohh and they look so sexy :)
June 21, 2010 11:05:44 AM

lol I think if you get a ram cooler or even a waterblock you should get there no problem. Don't you think?

Well only if cooling is the issue. I haven't messed with Ram voltages yet. (damn giant Bold Red warning about going over 1.65 blowing up my house scared me)
June 21, 2010 12:50:47 PM

I think you should get a decent overclock without going over 1.65 I could be wrong though.
June 21, 2010 12:53:04 PM

I'm at 8-8-8-20 1T @ 1.600 the ram is rated for 8-8-8-20 2T @1600 when I went to 7-7-7-19 1T I had issues even booting into windows I just havent played with Ram much so need to research some more.
June 21, 2010 6:03:25 PM

I'm bored at work someone say something.. ask a question say hi :)
June 21, 2010 7:48:00 PM

SO what would you upgrade or add to my current setup?
June 21, 2010 8:24:17 PM

The system itself looks maxed out so I don't see any improvements there. Maybe as you've stated the ram.

But I'd surely upgrade to 3d surround with 3 acer 120hz monitors if you were to spend anywhere.

I need to research that I have not even looked at this 3d durrond stuff at all..
June 21, 2010 8:34:19 PM

well it's simply the highly respected 3d vision and the often dreamed of eyefinity in one beautiful screen setup :D . I just want to touch one :p

Would you say its better then a 30" monitor @ 2560x1600? It seems like it might be odd to play say Cod MW2 on that and have to watch that wide of a sceeen
June 21, 2010 10:13:46 PM

Oh also would a new 3D LED/LCD provide the same affect?
June 22, 2010 5:15:26 AM

I think 3screens is far better than one large one due to the periphiral vision it gives you. Also looking from right to left makes it more lifelike.

I don't really know what you mean by 3d LED/LCD. If that is some 3D tv then I don't think it would be as good. Because nvidia makes 3d vision so they make drivers for almost every game. If you get 3d from another company it'll probably only be for movies.

also I have a few questions:

is that dell really that much better than say a 300dollar monitor?

do you notice the difference between sound card and onboard sound?

does the screen on the g19 have a use exept if your dell breaks down? :p

Well the Dell runs at 2560x1600 Res so I think its much better :)

I do notice a difference with the sound If I was running some cheap dell speakers Im not sure I would notice.

The g19 Keeps my Everest Temps for everything showing even when Im gaming etc :)
June 22, 2010 1:30:30 PM

Yeah I suppose the dell is better then.

And about the sound card. I might think of getting one then since I have speakers that are quite a bit better than your bose companions(no offense lol). Thnx for that btw :D

About the g19 I was considering one myself but I just bought a cheapo monitor to show my temps since well it costed less than the premium I'd have to pay for the g19 over my current x6.

Also what do you actually use your system for?

2 Dell XPS 420's with QX9650's is Media Center other is Windows Home Server
Dell XPS 1530 SSD Wifi for heavy moble stuff
Ipad for day to day going to work
Waiting for a new Dell XPS Adamo
June 22, 2010 1:35:39 PM

ohh pand PS The Bose Companion 5 sounds sick! What do you have I don't know if I can sleep well with you having better speakers :)
June 22, 2010 1:44:50 PM

lol I have a friend with bassically every component worse than me but his razer mamba slo keeps me awake :p .

I have a pretty old canton/heco 3.0(or whatever you call it) setup. But speaker technology is pretty much stagment so I don't see a need for newer ones. I think my 2 main speakers are pretty comparable to these

http://www.amazon.de/Canton-Ergo-RC-L-Stand-Lautspreche...

The sound is beautiful and I still don't dare to go past 10-15percent volume even for short bursts to hear what it feels like(maybe slightly overkill but hey that's what we live for :D ).
June 22, 2010 1:52:26 PM

http://www.epos-acoustics.com/products/m5i.php

my dad has these they are a little quieter(still haven't dared going past 15percent there either lol). And they don't have the best bass in the world(still make the windows shake though). But they make the most amazing sound in the world. Seriously these things are small and my dad has 2 and even if they are right next two each other it's like you are surrounded by sound.

Those things really sound nice.

ok too big and they don't match my color scheme :)
June 22, 2010 2:02:50 PM

too big lol? they are tiny in the world of speakers and yeah I don't suppose they match an obsidian 800d.

How about these? although be prepared to shell out more than your car is worth(doesn't matter what your driving this thing is insane)

those specs can either make you cry, laugh or be jealous depending on you perspective :p

Although I don't see what a nuclear reactor has to do with a pc. Cool idea, very cool idea.
