Hi, I really have no need to update my bios but I heard that it can slightly improve performance in games and make my whole computer run a little better. Is this true or should I just not even bother doing it?

my specs are:

6gb ddr3 ram
winrows 7 64bit
evga x58 motherboard.(
xxx gb harddrive

okay so I really need a step by step completely dumbed down version of how to do this. I've already looked at youtube videos, guide, etc. and still really don't know how to do this.

I think i know the first step: restart computer while constantly hitting delete to get into bios.

step 2???

thanks i really need some instruction on how to do this.

Have you checked EVGA's site for instructions? BIOS can often be updated through a flash drive and typically there is a guide at the site, or in your manual.

Sometimes BIOS updates improve performance, but quite often fix bugs.
