Real World Labs published a review confirming rumours that TRIM for ssd's in a RAID 0 array is possible.

Here is the link to the review:

Good to know that it's finally here. There was never any technical reason why it wasn't possible, just a matter of getting the software in order

Nice find, johnny.

One Killer for Me is, Don't plan on upgrading my MB (Z68) anytime soon and Not a lover of win 8.
But then don't have a pressing need for Raid0 using SSDs, Have them but just using them as two drives - One for OS + Programs and the 2nd drive as a "Work/Temp" drive.

Uh.

I've had this in my Z79 system since I built it... I'm running two SSDs in RAID 0.

This was in the news awhile back.

AnandTech Article:

"Intel Brings TRIM to RAID-0 SSD Arrays on 7-Series Motherboards, We Test It"

More articles about the new feature are starting to appear.

The ATA TRIM command apparently only works with some configurations.

super-smashman - Have you confirmed or verified that the TRIM command actually works?

Having SSDs in RAID-0 prevents TRIM from running... until now. Controller-level garbage collection will still work but this is independent of TRIM.

Pinhedd - I did a little research. Intel released a download on July 25th but took their time issuing a press release.

Yeah I remember reading about it a couple of weeks ago, supposedly it's been in beta for a long time. I wasn't aware that an RC had made its way out until now

It may not work on x79 though since it uses RSTe rather than RST
