Multiple motherboard power supply

Hello, I am interested in a similar idea. I want to put 4 miniItx motherboards in one box with one psu. The reason would be to lower power use. Can I splice in 4 connectors?

You won't save anything, and like domino's if the (1) one PSU fails then 4 MOBOs will also fail, and worst if the single PSU suffers a catastrophic failure then potentially poof goes 4 MOBOs, 4 GPUs, 4 sets of everything.

You can have a 3000W PSU and if the 'PC' draws only 200W then that's all the power that will be drawn from the PSU.

EACH connector from the PSU would be required to handle the AMPS X 4 / Connection. This on so many levels is a really bad idea. Don't do it...

Thanks for the info. Just did not want my power bill to go off the charts. Student, you know. Much easier to make room for mult. power supplys if they won't draw to much power.

The key to saving power is to make certain S3 {Sleep} works properly or simply Shutdown the PCs. Example, my 750W pulls 5~10W max from my UPS when in S3, 250W~500W when running and the later Rendering.

I promise this is how it works.
