Can't find the option in BIOS to enable 64 bit architecture on Intel DP55WB mother board. The processor installed is core i5 720 that supports the 64 bit architecture. Please help me in this one.
Apparently, your Intel MOBO locks out User 64/32 bit selection. Chances are it's running in 32-bit mode and the differences are negligible to nonexistent either works fine.
"HPET implementations that support 64-bit widths will be used in 32-bit mode."
The BIOS reads CPUID and if the CPU is supported then there's nothing that you need to change. If your OS is 64-bit and you have HPET Mode in the BIOS then you 'can' set 64-bit.

Yes You are right, The CPU is i5-750 2.67 GHz with 8MB cache. The link to the CPU is http://ark.intel.com/Product.aspx?id=42915 The HPET mode is present in the BIOS and is set to "ENABLED" No further subcategory to select 32 or 64-bit.
I have tried to install a fresh copy of Win7 SP-1 64-bit but again it gives me error of no supporting hardware present.
