Memory clock problem

I just bought a new graphics card,it's a geforce 9500GT.
But the memory clock is 400Mhz instead of 800Mhz and when i try to overclock it back to naormal it starts to malfunction when it gets up to 450Mhz.
Please help

The 9500GT has a 400Mhz RAMDAC, with 800Mhz effective.

I thnk its says 400 because it has dual data rate memory. That means 400 x 2 = 800

Rob and Shadow are both correct. It starts to malfunction at 450 mhz because you're essentially overclocking it to 900. :D
