Before I buy, I really need help to look for the right product for 7.1 surround for gaming USB headset or a sound card + analog headset. I want it perfect sound quality, deep, footsteps, rumbling, thumping, loud, explosion bass and good for any first person shooter games. Which should I get? Please vote if you know! Thanks.

There are no true 7.1 headsets I know of; the only two which even claim 7.1 are the Logitech G35 (which uses a 7.1 varient of Dolby Virtual Headphone) and the Razer Megolodon (which uses a simmilar tech); point being, both use virtualization to get the 7.1 effect.
I can say the G35 does a very good job at this virtualization, and for a USB headset, offers very good quality, but still not as good as the quality offered by my soundcard [ASUS Xonar D2], even using cheap [$50 or so] headphones.

Does your motherboard not have integrated audio? Why the sound card in addition? What is your pricerange?
