  1. If i handles a 4850 fine, it can handle a 5850 fine as they have pretty close power draws.
  2. I think it would. The HD5xxx series are very power efficient cards!

the 5850 takes about 10 less watts at idle, and 40 more at load. You can put your info into this:

When i put in your basic info, i got about 400-430, so it might be close.
  4. Here are the official power requirements for the ATI Radeon HD 5850 video card.

    ATI Radeon™ HD5850 System Requirements:

PCI Express® based PC is required with one X16 lane graphics slot available on the motherboard

500 Watt or greater power supply with two 75 watt, 6-pin, PCI Express® power connectors.

600 Watt or greater power supply with four 75 watt, 6-pin, PCI Express® power connectors for ATI CrossFireX™ technology in dual mode.
  5. Yeah, id guess 500 watts to run it with a degree of safety. Although it wouldnt surprise me if some sub 500 watt corsairs could run it. It has a lot to do with the amps.
