Oooooo, I've been busy with DH's 40th birthday stuff this weekend. Had no
idea that this trailer was out. I agree with everyone else that her plait is
an absolute mess. But otherwise it was gorgeous. Did anyone notice the tomby
bit where she was sliding and bouncing from one slope to another. She had a
really good sounding "Unnhh"
As far as Lara's looks are concerned, she looks updated without looking
"hard" like AOD. I think that we are all in for a treat. One minor thing
though, I agree with another poster that it seemed like they were really
top-loading the trailer with all the violent bits. After all it is more
exciting to watch combat, than watching Lara "puzzle" through something.

<watches it twice more> gee, I heard her go "oo". How many times did
I have Lara catch the edge of a ledge after back-hopping off, just to
hear that "oo". Never seemed to tire of it.

I'm with you on that score - I liked TR, would you believe, for the
puzzle-solving and treasure-hunting most (except when I got completely
stuck). IMO, she's much more than a pretty arcade shoot-em-up game.
Guess that's why I liked watching her walk ... while searching for
things, yes, that's it, searching really carefully.

Strange when, in TR3 especially, her plait of hair would flow quite
freely in any breeze; more polygons, please - let's do her up proud.

Maybe her hair got caked up with the sludge she had to slog through in
earlier games. I'll have her take a shower and shampoo in the Legend
Training Level. :) Guess that's the king key in me.

Gotta try out that bike ride, too.

Wishing Well,

Fred

looks like lara looks a lot more like lara than the one from TR AOD,
both looks and animations.

also looks like she has more moves, e.g. being able to add
somersaults to almost all jumps, e.g. front one during the jump and
grab, backtuck during jumping down to ground etc.

hard to tell what the gameplay will be like but it looks like at
least the game looks and machanics will be enjoyable (i.e. a big
improvement over AOD).
