Best wireless modem for cox cable

Hello, I have Cox cable in AZ... hate it but can't get anything else where I live :-(
According to Cox my wireless problems which basically occur daily are caused by my router/modem (Motorola Surfboard SBG900). Can someone suggest a better solution which may give me a better (more dependable) wireless service? Please help! Thank you! Iris

Before spending money, cover the basics of wireless.

Raise the router above furniture level. Relocate cordless phone etc away from computer or router.

Experiment with channels, these work better or worse depending on the shape and construction of the premises.

If you can detect strong neighbouring wifi, select a channel five stops from the strongest.
