Is this a decent gaming system...I was a bit worried about the GPU if it would be fast enough ?

More about budget gamer
  1. Looks good. However, you should be able to drop in the HD 5970 instead of the 5870...
  2. not all that budgety lol
  3. Is the 5970 worth the extra investment? if so, which one,? Sapphire, XFX, ?
  4. The sapphire one has great combo's with monitors as I linked.

Technically you can get a 5870 for $351 ATM, but thanks to the amazing $110 off combo deal, it still ends up being $100 more than a 5970 by itself.
  5. Thanks a lot for the advice...

BTW: I think I need a decent keyboard, mouse, and speakers (for gaming primarily)....any suggestions?
  6. Lol ok, that above post was me thinking ahead of my writing. I mean you could get 2 5870's for $351 each, but thanks to combo deal, they still end up $100 more than the 5970.

Anyway, standard mouse suggestion is mx518, keyboard is a saitek eclipse.

Honestly though, peripherals choice completely depends on what fancy features you want.
