So, I just got an SSD and quickly hooked it up. My buddy who I rely on told me is was easy, no more master/slave stuff, just Plug and Play. Considering my original OS was installed on a 500gb HDD I decided to go with a fresh install on the SSD.
I formatted the 500gb in the setup then installed to the SSD. However I was not aware you should only have the intended OS drive connected at the time. So, now I have my OS (Win 7 x64) installed to my SSD however my backup HDD is now "System Reserved" in disk management with the 100mb partition.
So my question is, do I have to reinstall windows again because of this and properly unhook the HDD or is there some way I can reclaim my drive?
Also, I'm assuming I need to reinstall since I can't find a solution through searching, so that being the case, how do I go about formatting that HDD now? Do I have to go back to windows setup, format it, then shut down, disconnect the HDD then reboot, reinstall to SSD, then shut down and reconnect the HDD?
