Ok so I tried installing Win 7 to my corsair ForceGT 120 Gig disk, but havent been able to do so as it stops at 0% while Expanding windows files during win 7 installation.
So next step, upgrade firmware.
So i connected my SSD to my older pc with an Asus p5n-d motherboard.
Downloaded the updater Field_updater and ran it, but my ssd didnt show up.
So after some checking I found out that my ssd is registered as a scsi disk
Google the issue and found the problem for most people. And that was that they had used the wrong Sata port. Must use intels for the firmware update to work.
Than back to me, in my case with an older Mobo which only has 4 sata ports I or II im not sure.
But in any case all my ports uses Nvidias Nforce controller. And with this my ssd will never be recognized as an ssd and there for i cant freaking update my SSD!!!
I tried uninstall the drivers hoping that win7 would fetch the intel drivers from the internet but nope, the nforce came back.
Now im trying to find a proper Intel controller driver for forceGT 120Gig. But im not sure where i can get one.
I tried Intel® Matrix Storage Manager but i didnt meet the requirements
