I'm planning on buying my first SSD.

Came to those 2 choices, if price isn't a factor, which drive is better (quality and speed) overall ?

It's just one of the more proven SSD drives on the market,and well worth a purchase.

many people compare sdd's and try to find out which is the fastest,...
the truth is,you dont find any difference in performance at all
only there are numbers on benchmarks...you should chose reliable marvel based ssd's...
and the 2 ssd's you have chosen are both very reliable and marvel based..you should try to get the cheapest possible as you will not find any difference in gamong and stuff...
the comparison between the 2 ssd's depend on the workload and quantity of storage....i really cant recommend anything if you dont state the quantity and waat kind of work you will perform on the ssd's..any of them are great overall...my vote goes to the cheapest marvel based ssd you can buy..the only sandforce based ssd i recommend is the intel 520 series...
here are some good marvel based ssd's..
plextor m3.plextor m3 pro,samsung 830 series,crucial m4,corsair performance pro and among the sandforce the intel 520 series...you should get the cheapest you can find among them as thats the only thing you should be concerned about..ssd prices change everyday...overall no difference that can be noticed among the ssd's except of benchmarks
