Platform Name Socket 775 LGA processors

Look for "cpu support" for your board on the manufacturer's website. Oem boards made for dell, hp, packard bell, etc aren't on the manufacturer's website but are on hp's website, etc. If they have no cpus listed for upgrades, then it's a guessing game.

Depends on the motherboard and model of Pentium D.
Most pentium D's only use DDR1 ram while most if not all new 775 boards use DDR2 msaing them incompatible.

Check your board make/model against the cpu model to see if they are compatible.
