My desktop config is as follows:-

Intel core 2 duo @ 2.20GHz E4500
2 gb ddr2 RAM (one stick of 1gb each)
160gb hdd
ati hd 6670 ddr3 1 gb
LG dvd rw
Intex smart 450W PSU

Will this setup be able to support an additional 1 tb hdd? (meaning both 160b as well as 1 tb hdds work together)?

You're safe to add another HDD. You're likely using 350w-400w max on load. Another HDD isn't going to add much to that.

At most it would use 15w at any given time it is in use (actually writing or reading data).
