I have a new machine; Asus A7V133 mb, Athlon 1.4, and can't install Windows 2000 on my HD. It's the same HD I used in my old machine, and previously had W2k. 30G drive, 3 partitions. I reformatted the c: (W2K) Partition, and tried to reinstall. I load the 4 floppies just fine. The system reboots and begins the install. Then Windows begins to detect my hardware. About 3/4 of the way through I get a BSOD simply stating a Hardware Malfunction System has Halted. The MB/Processor should be fine; i've installed xp on a different drive. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I finally managed to get XP loaded. Although I would prefer W2K. I believe the problem was that I was using my DVD Drive for the install. A friend had gave it to me free so you can guess the quality. I will try to install 2000 when I get a chance (after I reinstall my CD-Rom drive of course!) Thanks.
