Your PSU has one 6-pin? If so, get an HD5770. It will most likely use just as much power as your 8800GT, yet offer better performance.

Yes the 8800gt is connected via 1 6 pin supply, i have looked at hd5770 and 5750 will the 375W power supply cause a problem i think it recommends a 450W supply

Thanks

They recommend a 450W PSU but they will easily run on a 375W PSU.
I also suggest a HD5770 which will be a solid performer at that resolution :)

It is much faster than a 8800GT and the fastest card I can suggest with that PSU :)

Dell 375W PSU has 30A on the 12V rail so your good for most cards. The 5770 will be fine.

Another vote for HD5770.
Your PSU will be fine with that card, HD5770 is better than 8800GT.

Yes, agree here as well. Your Dell 375 watt PSU will run a 5770 just fine.

Responses were much different when I joined a few years back, nice to see so much agreement on the capabilities of the Dell 375w psu.

The HD5770 actually uses slightly less power than your 8800GT and the HD5750 much less, so either will be fine.

To be fair as well, OEM PSUs have come a long way. Just looked at the HP in my livingroom, not only does it have a PCIe 16x slot, but it has a bestec 300W PSU with 19A on the 12V rail. I was expecting a 200/220W PSU with 12V, but I was quite surprised. Ahhh, progress.
