Hello! I have a problem here. I own the OCZ Onyx 60 GB. I was testing write speeds with it and I am only getting 58 - 60 mb/sec when writing 1000 mb. This is very slow. I do not know what I did that was wrong? I am not an expert here. I just learned today that my SATA was connected to the wrong port. I put it in the right port and I am getting the same speeds. Here is my mobo

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

I have no idea what made me get this mobo when I started my build but i'm stuck with it haha.

Any ideas of what I did wrong? Thanks a lot!

The OCZ Onyx is a cut-cost, end-of-life'd SSD that has a specification of write speeds at max 70MB/s.

If your drive is from this series, your specifications makes this clear to you, taken from OCZ.com:

http://www.ocztechnology.com/ocz-onyx-series-sata-ii-2-...

Also, it only supports up to SATA 2. Your write speeds are inline with the specifications.

32GB Performance

Read: Up to 125 MB/s
Write: Up to 70 MB/s

64GB Performance

Read: Up to 135 MB/s
Write: Up to 70 MB/s

128GB Max Performance

Read: Up to 150 MB/s
Write: Up to 120 MB/s
