  1. What PSU do you have? Do you want to Crossfire? What are you looking to spend? Do you already have the CPU?

I'm going to be assuming you don't have the CPU yet (combo deals).

    Non-Crossfire:

    CPU/Mobo: X3 440 and Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 $140 after rebate
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 $110

    Total: $250

    Crossfire:

    CPU: X3 440 $75
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4 $95 after rebate
    RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 $110

    Total: $280
  2. here is what i would do:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.394163

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303

250$ after rebate. im not positive, but you MIGHT be able to use your current cpu cooler, and then buy an oem callisto.
  3. I have an antec earthwatts 500W ps...and crossfiring would be a nice oprion.
  4. also...would the ddr3 memory be a huge increase in performance over the ddr2.....or should i just replace the chip and stick with the old board? only reason to upgrade the board would be for the memory upgrade as well....
  5. With a 500W PSU, you're not going to be able to Crossfire until you buy a bigger PSU.

DDR3 would be a little better, but I would go ahead and upgrade just to stay current.
