I5 760 heat

runs at mid 40's on idle higher on load into 60's (celsius). Should i be looking into an after market cpu cooler? any recommendations would be nice. ty

using the thermal paste strips that came pre applied to the cooler btw

if your ambient temp was 30 degrees (like in many tropical countries) and you didn't overclock the cpu, I think it's perfectly fine. Maybe you can try to make the temp to 60 then try to touch the heatsink with your hand. If you feel that it is a little bit hot, so that's fine since the thermal paste and the heatsink are correctly installed.

okay i turned on this thing callled CPU level up and it can oc my cpu for me. i went from stock 2.8 to 3.36. the temps went all the way up to 90, so i stopped playing. These temps are way too high, correct?

if you want to OC, after market HSF is required and 90 is not healthy for your cpu.
