I'd switch to this XFX HD 5870. It'll save you about $60 (with shipping). The XXX version isn't any special, so you'd just be wasting your money.

Here's a monitor that's a little better and a little cheaper: Asus 23" 1080p $180 after rebate.

I'm not sure how that monitor is better with slower refresh rates, and a lower contrast ratio. It says 2ms response (gtg) which probably means 5ms normal like most monitors which is the same.

I might switch the video card though. Is XFX a top brand? If you can tell me which brands are the highest quality and most reliable that would be nice.

For ATI, XFX is considered one of the best brands. Sapphire and ASUS are also considered top brands, Gigabyte and HIS maybe slightly lower, but not a whole lot.
