So I'm trying to partition my HDD so I can record videogames easier, but my HDD will only let me allocate 7504mb (7.33gb) of memory to my new partition. I currently have 341gb of free space on my HDD and I'm only trying to use 100gb for my new partition. Please help ASAP.

System Specs:
CPU - AMD Phenom II x4 965BE
GPU - EVGA GTX 560ti
PSU - 500watt Rosewill Stallion
HDD - 500Gb WD Blue Caviar
8Gb of Corsair Dominator RAM
Case - CoolerMaster 430 HAF

The only time I've ever done partitioning is on a wiped drive. It might be that that's the largest unallocated section, I don't know. Assuming you're in Disk Management, right click the unallocated area and select 'New Simple Volume'. Is it still the same size?
