While installing a Radeon HD 5770 drivers I received a blue screen saying something about a power dump ect ect i cant remember it all because i turned off the power supply quickly. But best guess my power supply was too low?
What are your complete system specs? Is this a new build? Did you just add the 5770 to an existing system? If so, did you completely remove the drivers from the previous GPU with something like Driver Cleaner Pro?
My current power supply

I run Intel core 2 quad q 6600 and i play at 1600x1200 with 4 gigs of ram
and uh would i have to remove drivers from an integrated graphics card?
Also its a current build just trying to upgrade
And yes it did work also the graphics card works and all but when I try to run the drivers my computer get real slow then it popped up with a blue screen I can try it again to get the exact error but I'm just worried about frying something..lol
It has a 6 pin connector and for a power supply wouldn't buying a higher power supply give me a lil more future proofing if i decide to take it out and use it for another build if so how high should I take it. I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005
The rating refers to the efficiency of the unit. A unit with a higher efficiency rating will use less power from the wall and run cooler since less energy is wasted as heat output.
Either of the above PSU's would power dual 5770's.
