SO for charistmas , I am getting a GeForce GT240 (I really dont need anything more powerful), I was wondering what CPU to get.

I have a AM2+ board but I have thje latest BIOS so I can use AM3 CPU's, so I am looking for a good CPU (AMD) around 40 - 50 £. Any suggestions?

also I have a stock AMD cooler with Smart fan.

I'd recommend the Phenom II X3 720 BE.. Its a powerful CPU bearing the Phenom II architecture.. It'll give you enough power to snap through your day to day productivity apps and prove good for more strenuous activities such as gaming.. The TDP is also within your target range..

Lol you should concentrate more on what processor you want.

Go check reviews of that product and tell us do you like it or not, because that's all you can get in that much money & TDP requirements.

nah, its easy. if your board is up too it, you can oc any processor. It all depends on mobo.

and yeah no gain in getting 445, just waste of money for100mhz.
