High kernel cached memory

Not sure if this is an issue, but i find it weird that my pc has a high kernel cached memory usage. When it boots it is around 250-300mb, but if i leave it to idle overnight, i find it to be around 450-650 the next morning.

Any thoughts? Any implications? memory leak?

Are you refering to the System process under task manager that is described as NT Kernel & System? (This is under Vista)

Mine uses 3.2MB and I have 3 apps and several applets loaded.
