hi, i have a dell dimension e510 and i am looking to upgrade my graphic card.my power supply has 305watts am not planning on upgrading my power supply i just looking for a graphic card that i can play games on like world of warcraft. can you tell we what graphic card will support my power supply i recently brought EVGA e-GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card will this card work with my system if no can you recommand me some that wll work with 305watts

the ATI 5670 2.0 card will work as would the Nvidia 9800GT energy efficient model

for a little less you can pick up an ATI 4670

the 8400gs is not a gaming card, its mostly for watching video, Adobe, and MS office

i did any online chat with the dell agent and they say i cant run EVGA e-GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card because it say my 305watt is not enough so i dont know i dont want to destroy the computer does anyone know a website or know for sure i can run this

i owned a Dell E521 with the exact same 305w PSU. I ran a 9800GT that used far more power then the 8400gs off the same unit.


*two gerbils on an exercise wheel can run the 8400GS, it barely uses any power.

im running an nvidia 9400gt 512 mb works like a charm with that p.o.s. psu...trying to find a case that i can lift all my guts (mobo, cards, drives) and put that into atm as im slowly upgrading my whole system, and dell hates modders/upgraders
