I've spent a good deal of time researching what would be the best mid-budget ($300-$350) 19'' monitor, and I've narrowed it down to either the Samsung 900NF or ViewSonic P95F+.

I've read a lot of great things about the 900NF, (it seems to be a great, tried & true monitor that performs it's duty) while I've heard some rather so-so comments about the P95F+ model (though much better ones about it's predecessor).

I just looked a bit more into the ViewSonic P90F, so I figured I'd throw that into this post as well. I've never used an aperture grille monitor before, so I'm not sure if the two wires running across the screen are going to make me go ape sh*t, so I figured the P90F's FTM would be more up my alley of familiarity. It seems to be just shy of the P95F's performance and isn't as bright, plus it costs a bit more, but I've heard a LOT of good things about FTM and it doesn't have varying pitches...

It would seem that the older 900NF is a superior monitor; my only question is if the extra $60-$70 I'll spend on the 900NF over the P95F+ worth it? Will there really be that much of a difference between the two? Aside from the complaint of somewhat inferior screen quality at the corners of the P95F+ because of the difference in pitch from center to edge, there really doesn't seem to be much of a difference (plus the P95F+ pushes 60 more mhz).

I'm eager to hear anyones feed back on this matter.

I'm use my machine for about 30% gaming/40% work (programmer)/30% net browsing.
