Hi guys

The silliest question on earth, for which I apologise.

Do some case fans act as exhausts and others as intakes? I have been unable to find this information when looking at the case fans on Newegg, and I need two of each. Where should I be looking?

Thanks.

Any fan can be used as an intake or an exhaust, just mount it in the case so that the air is pushed in the direct you need it to move.

heffroncm has it right - any case fan can be mounted in either direction. When you get them look closely at the marking on the outer edge of the fan case. There will be two arrows. One curves around and shows you the direction of rotation of the fan blades (provided the power supply is connected correctly). The other shows you which direction the air flows through the fan. Use these to decide how to mount in your case.
