Which processor should I buy out of these two?

I currently have a amd athlon 64 x2:

and am thinking about buying an AMD Athlon 2 X2 processor:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103687

Is the processor I'm thinking of buying better than the one I have currently? Sorry, I'm not knowledgeable in hardware...

More about which processor
  1. Yes... It is a better CPU. However, I would really consider the Athlon X3 440 instead.

Also, make sure your motherboard supports AM3 CPU's (& your choice) before you make your purchase.
  2. ^ I secondly approve this suggestion, I also have an athlon 64 x2 and I plan to upgrade to the 440, great cpu and really really cheap!
