system:

WEI
6.9 i3 2.9 Ghz
H55 MB
5.5 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz Kingston value RAM
5.9 500HDD 72RPM WD
7.0/7.0 512MB Graphic Card
Window 7 32bit Home Premium

i want to add RAM to the computer.
my system is 32 bit, so i think the pc can't handle 3 or 3.5 Gb of max RAM.
(and i'm currently no plan to upgrade to 64 bit)

my question is simple:

1. so adding 1GB of RAM will make some imporve performance to the PC?
2. if i add 1GB, RAM won't work on dual mode, so what the advantage of Dual channel in the set up?
3. will WEI score improve?
4. if i add another 2GB stick, how much maximum RAM will the Win-7 can utilize?

thanks all

Hi.

1- If you add 1GB maybe your score goes down, because you change from dual channel to single channel.
2- Single channel on your ram is 533MHz, dual channel is 1333MHz both with same voltage and timings.
3- Maybe in dual channel, not in single.
4- A x86 (32 bits) OS can only use 3.25GB max, if you install 2GB (2x1GB for dual channel) more you only will see and use 3.25GB.
