Hey guys. I was having a monitor not detecting signal problem, so I decided to disassemble and breadboard to try and solve it, and I need to figure something out before I continue breadboarding...

I hooked up just the HSF and CPU, and got my long series of beeps. Thought 'great, those aren't broken'. And so I preceeded to add a stick of RAM, and boot. And surprise...silence. So I added another stick, just to test, and got my long series of beeps.

So to my question...I know this isn't a usual problem, and it can't be shorting out the PSU, since it beeps when I have both sticks in, so can anyone guess what could be causing this?

Also, forgot the mention, the series of continuous long beeps, well my motherboard guide says this is a PSU error, but if its a PSU, then why would parts be powered?
