there is alot of nicer 5870's out there but they all put heat back into your case and mines hot enough as is! LOL so any opinions on what the difference is between these two and if either of them would be more likely to put heat back in the case than this one?

The first two are XXX editons - factory overclocked a bit. The second one would be best, it's the ATi reference design which uses the blower fan to pull air from the end of the card through the heatsink out the back. The central fan cooler looks like it takes air from the side and blows the hot air through the back and front of the card.

thanks, I found a video on how big this video card is on tigerdirect they actually took it out on a motherboard and it hung wayy over big daddy style!! So yes if your buying this card just because you have a big case doesn't mean you can put it in look at how your motherboard is laid out because I would of been one sad guy to recieve it and newegg has no take backs for stupidty. =)

I would let it hang over but it won't because the way my sata cables are positioned on my cpu so i'm going with another 5770 and from what i saw from tomshardware the 8x8 crossfire won't hold me back it beat the 5850 in a few of the benches they did when it was released which isn't bad im more worried about it blowing more air inside because I already had a 5770 non refrence xfx so I had to get the exact same model to be on the same side crossfiring them
called xfx 800-880-3225 (if anyone was wondering)
and they sent me a crossfire bridge seeing as this is I believe the only xfx card that doesn't come with crossfire bridges, lol hope they got fast shipping *grin, ill let you guys know.j
ya so I got two of these that are gonna be in my case now

here's the video for anyone out there thinking about the 5780 to see if your motherboard would work
