My PC is just about broken now, and I figured i'd take some parts (my hard drives, RAM and CD drive) and get some new parts, and put it all together for a good PC that I can upgrade the RAM on in a few months time. I'm not sure if my power supply unit is strong enough? the parts are listed below. I'm buying a CPU cooler instead of the stock one because I want my system to be cool, this is a problem i've had with my current system, the CPU overheats, and the GPU.

Parts I'm buying;
ASUS P6T SE iX58 Socket 1366 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
Intel I7 930 2.8GHZ 8MB Cache Socket 1366 Retail Box Processor
CM Storm Scout + Coolermaster Silent Pro 700W Modular PSU *Special Offer Bundle*
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/177749
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro rev 2 Socket 775, 1156, 1366, AM2, AM3 Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Sapphire HD 5770 1GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI DisplayPort HDCP PCI-E Graphics Card

Partsthat I have;
Standard DVD drive that has worked fine for the last year and a half
1 x 1terabyte drive, samsung
1 x 500gig drive can't remember the brand
2x 2gig DDR2 RAM sticks can't remember the brand but i'm assured they're good
Wireless card that will fit fine.

I have no experience in building a PC really, except that I have replaced little things and fiddled around with the inside of my PC to connect wires etc but I have time and patience and the internet has plenty of guides. I'm pretty much at the end of my budget, but i'm still not sure about 1-2 things. Is it worth/can i get a motherboard that supports USB3.0 for future proofing? My plan will be to upgrade my RAM to DDR3 by the end of the year, however my budget won't stretch that far quiet yet and as this should be the simplest piece to upgrade i've left that out. I'll be buying most my parts from ebuyer.com and some from amazon, depending on price. Also I will be buying a static mat and mx-3 thermal paste.

Is tehre anything I am missing out here? Will this PC work? Should i go to a professional?

Where wil you be using this PC for?
If you are planning to game on ths pc, you should buy a better gpu (and perhaps downgrade the cpu).

I'll be gaming on this PC, but i'll also be using it for work and programming on it somewhat. the most intense activity will be gaming though - running multiple instances of some MMO games and some other new games.

How about switching the processor for a core 2 quad q9400 http://www.ebuyer.com/product/148545

which graphics card would be better?

I don't see a pb with the video card. What resolution are you running? That card should be able to run high settings at 1680X1050. (22 inch)

I wouldn't get the Q9400, that is an outdated socket. Have you looked at the i5 750? Also, I think you'll need ddr3 ram.

to be honest i didn't really consider i5 processors, would that be good enough for my requirements? i'll be gaming on a 24 inch monitor at 1200.

could someone recommend me a good brand for DDR3 then?

If i went for i5 processor I could save £100 which I can put towards DDR3, but I could stretch a little further, for some solid RAM. perhaps £130 for RAM?

My understanding is that i need a LGA1156 socketed motherboard? but the one i have selected is 1366, could anyone recommend me a good 1156 motherboard that can take the i5 750 processor and DDR3 RAM? The ram i've selected is http://www.ebuyer.com/product/191184

I need to wait a few weeks till I can afford this build, so i'm going to use this time to learn more and pick the best components I can for the price. Currently my components list is

Will a 700w PSU be sufficient for this rig?

PowerColor HD 5830 PCS Edition 1GB GDDR5 825Mhz DVI HDMI Display Port Out PCI-E Graphics Card

is this a better graphics card? my budget can stretch to this, although i'd prefer one with dual dvi output and hdmi output if someone can suggest one? I don't really know what i'm looking for in a graphics card...
