How to retrieve info from western digital my passport

I have backed up my laptop to My Passport, how do I transfer to my desk top?

Are you trying to transfer the entire backup to the desktop or just some of the files? What program did you use to do the backup? Is that program installed on both computers? That will be an issue if not. I don't believe and entire transfer would be possible but that all depends on the software used and whether or not you are trying to transfer the OS (Windows) as well. I am assuming you are not going to attempt to restore the OS as well.
