Need hdmi output, what type graphics card will work

I just got this pc a short time ago and i need to add an hdmi slot to it so that i can use it with my hd tv. right now it has integrated graphics.

I don't really game but mostly watch videos and hulu, etc. Adding the hdmi so that i don't have to keep burning my videos to disk to play in my dvd player hooked to my tv...i can just hook hdmi to the tv directly.

specs for my pc:

HP Pavilion p6270z PC
• Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
• AMD Athlon(TM) X4 620 quad-core processor 2.6GHz
• 4GB DDR3-1066MHz SDRAM [2 DIMMs]
• 500GB 7200 rpm SATA 3Gb/s hard drive
• Integrated graphics - ATI Radeon HD 4200
• LightScribe 16X max. DVD+/-R/RW SuperMulti drive
• Integrated 10/100/1000 (Gigabit) Ethernet, No wireless LAN
• 15-in-1 memory card reader, 2 USB, audio
• No TV Tuner

HP shows these upgrade options:

# GeForce G210
# Radeon HD4350
# Radeon HD4650
# GeForce GT220
# GeForce GT230

which would you recommend i go with?

More about need hdmi output type graphics card work
  1. I would add in the HD 5570. You need to determine if the case can accept a full size or low profile video card.
  2. Do you need audio over HDMI also, or can you use a separate cable for audio? If you only need video then you could use an adapter like this:

If your looking for video and audio over HDMI then you can get a cheap GPU with an HDMI output.

    ASUS EAH4350 SILENT/DI/512MD2(LP) Radeon HD 4350 512MB 64-bit DDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Low Profile Ready Video Card $29.99 - $10 MIR
  3. thanks for the help,

would probably do audio and video thru hdmi
  4. You can't beat the $20 after MIR Asus 4350 for basic HDMI video and audio output.
