Blu-Ray Burner problem

The skinny....

LG WH14NS40 is the burner
It reads CD's, DVD's and BR (only been able to test retail BR movie, plays with PowerDVD 12)
It writes CD's, and DVD's
It DOES NOT read/write/detect verbatim BD-R 6x or verbatim BD-RE 2x. (tried 10-15 different discs from the -R 25pk and all five -RE discs.)

Searched the net and have not found anything similar to this problem please left me know what you think, Thanks.

BTW: there is no firmware update for this burner it is pretty new.

sounds like a firmware issue with reading media..i shoot lg support an email and ask what bd writing disk are supported.

they do not have a list of supported media.
