Antec 300, bottom mounted PSU?

I was thinking about getting an Antec 300 case but realised the PSU mount is on the bottom. This sprung 2 problems to mind:

1) Fitting the PSU. I'm guessing because of the bottom PSU mount, you have to fit the PSU upside down becuase the fan that takes in air on the PSU will have to facing upward in the case whereas its usually facing downwards. Wouldn't this be a problem because it can only go in one way because of the screws?

2) The cable length. Surely if the PSU is at the bottom, the cable is not going to reach the motherboard. After some research, I have heard that many people have had this problem.

Case: Antec 300 Three Hundred Case

PSU: Be Quiet 530W Pure Power PSU

Does anyone have this combination? Is there a problem?
If so, could someone suggest me a different case and/or PSU at ~£50 each?

Thanks

you shouldnt have a problem as long as the PSU supports ATX (which it is). The psu can actually go in both ways it doesnt matter. I personally like my fan going upwards and i know alot of people with corsair psus flip it upside down to orient the fan upwards.

Randomacts, I checked the links and I concluded that you are serious. You need to lurk a while longer before you say something so utterly stupid.

Check his profile. With over 14,000 posts, Crashman is one of our longtime regulars. And unlike most of us, he never posts unless he has something useful to say.

I use a stock photo. It's my cat. A friend took the picture. Are you accusing me of being a troll?

Whoops. While I was posting, apparently the mods removed the post.

1) Psu's are designed to operate in any orientation. The mounting holes on the 300 can accomodate either. No problem there.

2) The only lead that is problematic for a bottom mount will be the 4/8 pin cpu power connector. Better quality psu's will have one sufficiently long. If the lead is not long enough, it will have to be routed over the motherboard. It does not look neat, but is not really a problem. For routing behind or around the motherboard, you can get an extender which is cheap, <$5 or so.

3) It would be hard to find a better case, regardless of price.

4) I do not know about the be quiet psu. My short list of quality psu's would include Corsair, Seasonic, Antec, XFX, and PC P&C.
Do not skimp on psu quality.
