I am trying to burn a 5.54 GB file on to a disk. It has to all be on one dvd, so I can't split it up into to single layer dvd's. My dvd player is LG and was bought this spring. Will it be able to write on both sides of a double layer disk?

What is the model number? there are still DVD drives being manufactured that are not dual layer compatible. More than likely however, it is DL compatable.

Did you see any mention of SuperMulti on the packaging or device?

Players can't write anything. that's why they're called players. You need a burner to write DVDs.

If the model you have is capable of burning DL disks, then yes you can burn DL disks. You haven't told us which one you have.
