You concern is understandable. I think Prolimatech is losing sales by not updating theirs and their vendor web pages.
Here is the front page for the Megahalem.
And here is the spec page.
If one never got past the opening description, one would think it didn't fit the LGA1155.
Geez, Prolimatech really needs to send an email to Newegg!

BTW, nice board! You must be big into gaming.

beware your choice in RAM. If they have those tall heat spreaders on top of the sticks I'm told by Prolimatech that a populated DIMM slot closest to the CPU socket may interfere with the Megahalems. Your MB looks very similar to the ASUS I'm looking at in that the DIMM slots are close to the CPU socket.

Indeed, vendors need to get on the ball and start properly updating the information regarding compatability with LGA 1155.

Thank you very much, I do quite enjoy gaming!

This will be my first "Gig" board, normally I would choose ASUS but I really liked what the before mentioned board had to offer.

Thankfully I was already aware of this.

I chose the following set.

Those Mushkins are the new "green" type of RAM; low voltage. But they are not on the Gigabyte QVL for that board, so I get a little leary. The only eco RAM they show is the GKill ECO RAM.
If you are looking to save a few bucks a year in electricity like me, the ECO RAMs are nice.

I see, well I am not too concerned with my electric bill, haha.

So I suppose I should settle on a proper set that runs at 1.5v.

++++++++++++++NEED HELP ASAP+++++++++++++++

I am mounting a Megahelems RevB cooler to an Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache LGA 1155 mounted to an ASUS P8P67 MOBO. Am I incorrect to think that the cutout in the mounting bracket for the Megahalems s/b as large as the CPU in order for the cooler to completely cover it when installed? As it is now the cut out is quite a bit smaller than the actual CPU dimension. Thanks very much

Hey, Thank you VERY much. I must have had a brain freeze as I thought the bracket mounted on the top of the CPU and not on the back of the MOBO. Can u tell it's my first build?

Thanks again.
