Gigabyte H55N USB3

Hello, just a quickie really, will the H55N USB3 mobo work with a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 or is it only for i3/i5/i7?

I'm looking to build a lian li pc-q08b but looking to harvest my old pc. Does anyone know of a good mATX board that will take a Quad Core and has 6 sata and USB3??

No. Try the gigabyte g41 combo for around $50 at newegg for your q6600. H55 is socket 1156. Most micro atx boards don't have six sata ports. I suggest an atx case; I found my no name htpc case for $30 on craigslist, and it works with atx and micro atx boards, giving you more options. Most of the new boards left are p43 or g43. Check ebay and computer geeks for older boards.

You best bet is to buy an add-in card that supports USB3 ports. I've seen a few with 2 or 4 ports. Add that to the USB2 ports on any old 775 socket motherboard and you should have plenty of USB connectivity.

Why do you want USB3 ? Won't make any difference Most current devices....
