Hi, yesterday I transferred all my files from my 2TB HDD onto a newer, quieter 2TB HDD and although all the files are there, I'm having problems with other elements. Basically, the Desktop and Taskbar was blank when i removed the old drive and put in the new, but now I can't put any files onto the task bar or desktop. I can access the files, but not move them where I'd like.

Also, some of my files on my SSD now say something like 'file path incorrect' because the old drive is gone.

Is there anyway to fix my issues? Get my folders back that are in my SSD?

Thanks in advance

More information is needed.
I am not fully understanding what you did.
what role did the original 2tb drive play?
how did you copy the files?
are there other drives in this computer?
did you reinstall windows?

My guess, SSD for OS + Program and Old "storage Drive was replaced with New storage drive.

Did You FIX drive letters. Sothat the "new" HDD has the SAME drive lettersw as the OLd.

How did you copy from Old -> New. did you include any and all "hidden" Files/directories.

Also:
Is the small 100 mb System partition on the SSD???

Sorry for not replying. I managed to sort it. Turns out I had to rename the new HDD LocalDisk and that sorted it. Not sure why but it worked. Thanks for trying to help anyway :)
