I was going to purchase an MP3/CD player for my car (at $179)and came upon a portable DVD player that costs less ($149) and still plays MP3. The DVD player is the Emerson DV1400, although I have seen Blaupunkt and Jensen for comparable price. What is the main difference between these portable DVD players and household ones? If I already have the amps in my car, why not buy this and hook it up via the RCA cables already attached to the amp?
Also, does anyone know how many times I can "split" the RCA outputs before I start loosing too much signal? The player has two audio outs and I want to run 6 channels through my amps. Thoughts, feelings, desires...
