Hey guys, I recently built a new pc and for some odd reason, it keeps shutting down every now and then, a few times a day.......just restarts on its own... I have no idea where to begin to fix this and am really bummed I sunk over a grand in this build and it's not working.

Here are the parts I used.....

Cpu: i7 920

HD: WD 750gb

GFX: evga gts 250 1gb

PSU: corsair 650watt.

Temps are stable, 39-42... so it cant be that....

What do I need to do to solve this?

First... Go into your "Startup and Recovery" settings and disable Automatic Restart. This will keep the error message up so you can review what is going on (or help point to an issue)

Second... Are your timings, speed and voltage of the RAM set the manufacture's specs, as listed on the RAM.

Third... Have you ran at list 7 passes using MemTest86+ 4.0 (or higher) to verify no defective RAM sticks?

Fourth... Have your an Prime95 for at least an hour to rule out to high of load temps causing the system to shutdown?

Fifth... What are your GPU temps? Is the GTS 250 running to hot causing the system to crash?

These are a few things to start you on your troubleshooting way.
